The Classic Watercolour Paper which is made from premium archival grade cellulose wood pulp. The pulp has been treated to make it acid-free. It is cylinder mould made, 300gsm (140lb), acid-free, archival, contains no optical brighteners, both internally sized and externally sized. It is available only in Cold Pressed texture.

The Winsor & Newton Classic paper is less absorbent than the Winsor & Newton Professional paper. This allows the watercolour paint to sit on top of the paper and dries slower than the Professional paper.
